You’ve booked your professional Christmas light installation — now what happens on the big day? Here’s exactly what to expect when the Holiday Light Professionals crew arrives at your Denver-area home.
Before we arrive: your design is already done
Installation day starts long before our trucks pull up. During your free estimate, our designer measured your roofline and built a custom lighting plan — bulb color (warm white, multicolor, or a pattern), ridgelines, gables, dormers, and any trees or greenery add-ons. On install day, the crew arrives with your display pre-planned and all materials on board. There’s nothing for you to buy, untangle, or figure out.
Step 1: Walkthrough and final check
The crew lead does a quick walkthrough with you to confirm the design — rooflines to be lit, timer location, and any last-minute adjustments. This takes about five minutes.
Step 2: Professional installation
Our trained crews install commercial-grade C9 LED bulbs using proper clips attached to your gutters or roofline shingles — never under the fascia, and never anything that damages your roof or gutters. Extension cords are routed discreetly, connections are weatherproofed, and everything is secured for Front Range wind and snow. Most single-family homes are fully installed in a few hours. You don’t need to be home the entire time — just reachable by phone.
Step 3: Timers and the first lighting
We set your smart timer so the display comes on automatically each evening — typically dusk to around 10 or 11 PM, adjusted to your preference. Then comes the best part: the crew powers everything on and walks the property with you to confirm every section glows exactly as designed.
Step 4: All-season support
If a bulb burns out or a winter storm knocks a section loose, one call brings us back out — maintenance visits are part of the service all season long. No ladders, no frozen fingers, no troubleshooting in the dark.
Step 5: January takedown (you do nothing)
When the season ends, we return in January, remove every light, clip, cord, and timer, and store your display in our facility until next year. Your home is left exactly as we found it.
